The Steinley Cup, celebrating its 27th year on August 12, 2023, is Wyoming’s oldest beer festival and one that we at Snowy Mountain Brewery love to attend every year.  For this year’s Steinley Cup Competition, breweries will be sharing their unique takes on a Pale Ale style.

At the Carbon County Fair Food and Refreshment Center, there are some delicious choices of meat dishes to enjoy. The brisket and pulled pork truly melt in your mouth; a favorite of customers, according to Travis Moore, County Commissioner, other than when he is cooking and serving food at the Fair.

Moore said the Bison Smashburger has been very popular.

The mysterious origins of the Hendricks Gibson

A Gibson cocktail is a hybrid martini as it is made today.  Instead of olives, cocktail onions were introduced around the 1950s as the garnish. It was popular for a time in the 1960s but disappeared in the 1980s. It is rare for bars to carry these small pickled cocktail onions any longer.

Hanna resident’s classic ‘Dirt’ dessert steals the show at community picnic

Linda Goodrich, a Hanna resident, recently went to a community picnic where she brought a delicious, creamy dessert which not only was gone faster than any other of the other tasty treats, but it served almost 30 people, although Goodrich said if people take larger portions, it serves more like two dozen.
