The bounty of tomatoes

There is something satisfying about planting seeds and a month or so later, having plants spring forth. This year was my first attempt to raise a tomato from a seed. In the past, I have usually grabbed starter tomato plants and been happy with my bounty.  

My families–divorced parents, always had gardens.

Tomatoes were a major crop.
