The Saratoga Museum hosted a memorable fundraiser on Saturday, January 6, at the Eagles Nest, nestled within the scenic Old Baldy Club. This delightful event brought together wine enthusiasts and supporters of the museum for an evening of fine wines, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and mouthwatering desserts.

The Saratoga-Ryan Park Museum District will establish regular meeting times and dates, elect officers, name official publications and depositories at their first meeting in January, scheduled for January 11 at 5 p.m. at the Saratoga Museum.

Museums often blend into the fabric of a community, becoming fixtures of everyday life, sometimes taken for granted by residents. However, for one local museum director, the ultimate compliment came from a towns person who had never even realized that their beloved museum existed.

At the Carbon County Museum, we recently pulled out two huge stained-glass windows that had been squirreled away in a corner for several years. While they were technically on display, our guests could not see them and enjoy them.  In our recent efforts to rearrange the museum, we decided to move these spectacular pieces to a more accessible location.

October 25, 2023, was the official last day of the museum’s season. It was a long season this year due to the nice long fall we had through October. It started getting cold at night, the winter showed us her hand for a couple of days, but good weather held long enough for the museum staff to get a few projects done.
