Wyoming Highway Patrol Family Support Network
In a bid to strengthen community bonds and support those in need, the Wyoming Highway Patrol Family Support Network, in collaboration with local churches, is gearing up for the Carbon County Faith and Blue event on October 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event, taking place at the First Southern Baptist Church located at 2005 Darnley Road in Rawlins, aims to foster unity and serve the community through a food drive benefiting the St. Vincent De Paul food pantry.
Kay Schrock, an integral member of the Wyoming Highway Patrol Family Support Network and the director of this year’s Carbon County Faith and Blue event, expressed the organization’s enthusiasm for community participation. “We are eager for community participation to help our food drive be successful,” Schrock emphasized.
Faith and Blue is a nationwide initiative designed to create stronger, safer communities by fostering collaboration between churches of all faiths and local law enforcement agencies. The overarching goal is to break down barriers and unify communities.
This year, the event takes the form of a food drive, symbolizing the unity of law enforcement agencies and churches in serving the community. Attendees will not only have the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause by bringing non-perishable food items but will also enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with coffee and cookies to be shared with the public.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol Family Support Network and local churches invite the entire community to come together on October 8th and make a difference. By participating in the food drive at the First Southern Baptist Church, community members can contribute to a stronger, more interconnected Rawlins.
