he unmistakable sounds of axes striking timber, chainsaws roaring through logs, cheering rodeo fans and laughter echoing from the Grand Encampment Opera House filled the Upper Platte River Valley as thousands gathered for one of Wyoming’s most unique Father’s Day traditions.

The 65th Annual Woodchoppers Jamboree and Rodeo proved to be one for the record books.

The Sinclair Rec Hall was filled with music, laughter and dancing on May 2 as the Town of Sinclair, the Rawlins Music Academy and Su Casa Cafe hosted another lively Cinco de Mayo celebration.

Residents throughout Carbon County have been celebrating the holidays. Many of the towns have had parades. Baggs, Elk Mountain, Hanna, Rawlins, Saratoga and Sinclair all had parades that the townsfolk enjoyed.

Besides parades, there were craft shows in many communities that gave locals a chance to find unique Christmas gifts.
