This month had brought us a more interesting sky than usual. While the County Fair was punctuated by a Sturgeon Super Moon, the start of the school year brings us something more rare. A Super Blue Moon happens about every 10-14 years and won’t be along again until March of 2037.

As August began, the night sky over Carbon County Fair was adorned with a breathtaking celestial spectacle. The Sturgeon Moon, also known as August’s Full Moon, made its closest visit to Earth, casting a radiant glow over the landscape and punctuating the closing night of the much-awaited Ranch Rodeo.
