Like many Americans 23 years ago, Tink Day was shocked by what was unfolding in New York and Washington D.C. on September 11, 2001.

“I couldn’t believe it when just one plane had struck and thought it was a terrible accident,” Day said. “Then the second plane hit and I realized it was much, much worse.”
