Mountain Man Rendezvous Celebrates 45 years of Keeping History Alive

Long before sunrise each morning, thin ribbons of blue smoke curled above rows of canvas tents behind the Grand Encampment Museum. Cast iron coffee pots simmered over open fires. The smell of wood smoke drifted through camp as men and women dressed in buckskins, homespun shirts and prairie dresses prepared for another day of living history.
