The National Night Out was celebrated in Bolten Park in Rawlins on August 6 with a large crowd of families, Law Enforcement and Emergency Services personnel.
In observance of the “dog days of summer” everyone is invited to “Gather at the Table” for baked spaghetti, hearty salad, garlic bread, pineapple cake with cream cheese frosting and strawberries plus a choice of beverages Monday evening, August 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.in the Saratoga Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
On Saturday, July 20, bikers from across Wyoming and neighboring states gathered at The Whistle Pig in Saratoga for a cause close to their hearts. For the past 14 years, they have rallied to support families affected by cancer. This year’s T-Bone Classic, dubbed “Talyn’s Freedom Ride,” directed its proceeds to Talyn’s family.

Wyoming Dementia Together (WDT), a statewide nonprofit caregiver network offered through the University of Wyoming’s Wyoming Center on Aging (WyCOA), will offer a variety of informative discussions focused on dementia care through December.
On July 10, at midnight, WyoGives was able to raise $4,552,103 for non-profits in Wyoming. There were 7,317 donors who contributed.
WyoGives, an initiative of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network, brings the state together as one community to raise money and awareness for Wyoming’s nonprofits on one day each year and on one website.
Hot dogs with homemade chili and coleslaw plus toppings, loaded baked beans, summer mac-n-cheese salad, layered cheesecake and drinks are on the menu for the next “Gather at the Table” free meal Monday, July 1, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Saratoga Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
In 2008, Staff Sgt Taylor E. Pickett crossed the divide in an improvised explosive attack in Kirkuk, Iraq with 18 other people. His mother, Sheri Peterson, started laying plans for Never Forget Park on of corner of Pic Pike Road and Southeast River Street in the parking area for Veterans’ Island Park.
A fundraiser bake sale and homemade breakfast will be held on Saturday, June 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Saratoga Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall at the corner of Bridge and Third Streets.
