The 52nd Rawtown Riot Demolition Derby, a highlight of the Carbon County Fair, delivered an electrifying evening. Enthusiasts from across the region gathered for this event, which showcased premier Demolition Derby Competitors from the Rocky Mountains. Amidst pouring rain, cars collided with thunderous roars during last Saturday’s derby, encapsulating the spirit of raw competition.

“I think of myself as a person, person first and foremost,” Cheryl Munroe, the Grand Marshal for the Carbon County Fair and Rodeo said. “Teaching was not a job for me, it was a passion. I loved my students and I loved what I was teaching.”

Munroe said she taught her students life skills which they would take with them forever.

On July 20, the Saratoga Hot Springs Resort and Spa showed off their new cans designed by artist Travis Peak, who won the contest put forth last year by the resort’s Snowy Mountain Brewery.
