Sometimes the business of cataloging a museum’s collection, there comes a time when you meet a hero across space and time. One of the most interesting people I have met since volunteering and working in the Saratoga Museum is the Archaeologist Ada Bouril-Jackson.

Every year the Saratoga Museum takes over the Saratoga Lake for its ice golf scramble, The Frozen Fore. Now in it’s fourth year, the event has turned into one of the museum’s most popular and important fundraisers the museum hosts.

The Saratoga Museum hosted a memorable fundraiser on Saturday, January 6, at the Eagles Nest, nestled within the scenic Old Baldy Club. This delightful event brought together wine enthusiasts and supporters of the museum for an evening of fine wines, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and mouthwatering desserts.

The Saratoga-Ryan Park Museum District will establish regular meeting times and dates, elect officers, name official publications and depositories at their first meeting in January, scheduled for January 11 at 5 p.m. at the Saratoga Museum.
