The Town of Saratoga is making strides towards enhancing the mobility and connectivity of its community through the development of a Transportation Alternatives Master Plan. This comprehensive strategy aims to revamp sidewalks, trails, and connections to parks, schools, and businesses while also exploring opportunities to improve access to the scenic North Platte River.

Hanna Town Council convened at the Hanna Town Hall on January 9, with Mayor Jon Ostling presiding alongside council members Sammy Sikes, Roger Hawks, and William Dys. Notably, Jayson Nordquist was absent from the meeting.

Representative Davis attends Elk Mountain Town Council Meeting

The Elk Mountain Town Council met on January 8, at the Elk Mountain Town Hall. After approving the agenda, the Council welcomed Wyoming House of Representative Bob Davis from House District 47.

Davis had come to talk about what he was doing in the Legislature. He is on the task force created by Governor Mark Gordon to look at regulatory reduction.

On June 20, Carbon County and the city of Rawlins were on the radar of the national media, energy analysts and companies involved in the energy sector. 

PRESS RELEASE: WANTED SUBJECTS

Ellenson, Cody and Tidball, Victoria are both wanted by the Carbon County Sheriff's Office and the Saratoga Police Department in connection with a shooting that occurred on Saturday, December 16th, in the town of Saratoga.

Ellenson is 6'02" and approximately 172 lbs. Tidball is 5'02" and approximately 120 lbs and may have blonde hair. Subjects may be in a gold 2000 Ford Ranger.

SUBJECTS ARE CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS: DO NOT APPROACH.

Medicine Bow council member Justin George had a bit of a shock at the regularly scheduled meeting on December 11, Mayor Bradley Buum handed in his letter of resignation and was gone from the Council. George who was mayor pro tem was selected to be the new mayor.

Buum had recently had a tragic personal situation, and George said he understood why the mayor left.

Wave of hoax bomb threats sweeps across multiple states

There was some news that came across the national wire about a blanket email hitting the state of Texas on Friday and the state of Ohio on the weekend with bomb threats sent via email. In Ohio, 52 school districts received emails, claiming to be from a Russian organization.

Garrett Irene is the newest Carbon County Commissioner. He was sworn in on December 5. Irene is not sure, nor are other Carbon Commissioners, but there is a very strong possibility he is the youngest commissioner ever put on the board
