When 2025 Annual Meeting & Awards organizers announced Marie Christen as the Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year, she said she was surprised, not because volunteering is unfamiliar to her, but because she was standing alongside so many others who also give their time to the community.

“It was really sweet,” Christen said.
