The Nancy Stienberg Memorial Track meet was held on April 12 at the Rawlins High School stadium where every high school track team in Carbon County participated along with Rock Springs, St. Stephens, Thermopolis, Wind River and Rock River.
Rawlins had a strong showing where the Lady Outlaws placed first and the boys Outlaw track team placed second. The Saratoga Lady Panthers came in 5th and the boys Panther track team came in 4th. The Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) Lady Miners place 6th while the HEM Miners came in 7th. The Encampment Lady Tigers came in 7th and the boy Tigers came in 5th. Little Snake River Boy Rattler team came in 8th.
Rawlins had several athletes place 1st in several events, but it was Encampment that won both the girls and boys throwing events. The boys also took 2nd in both throwing events. There must be something in that water.
