As our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary, Americans across the country have participated in displays of patriotism, unity, and remembrance. Fireworks have lit up the night sky, hamburgers and hot dogs have filled backyard barbecues, and stories of “the America I know” have been shared among family and friends.
